Future STARS! Soccer’s – Pulsars! Program builds on the foundation of the Quasar – Parent and Tot Program in a Micro-Soccer environment. The Micro-Soccer format introduces and reinforces basic skills and techniques central to the game using fun, dynamic activities where each player gets maximum touches on the ball with little to no “waiting for a turn”.
The Future STARS! – PULSARS! Program is comprised of eight – 45 minutes sessions. Each week the STARS! are lead by certified soccer coaches through fun games and drills focussed on the basics of dribbling, passing/receiving, shooting and basic goalkeeping.
Each session is purposely planned to incorporate at least one activity involving a gross motor skill or movement that is essential to athletic development in any sport and general physical fitness.
Sessions conclude with a Micro-Soccer game where the STARS! get to test their new skills in a 3 vs. 3 competitive game situation. Finally, the STARS! head home with a team cheer, stickers and a snack.
Each PULSAR STAR! receives a T-shirt and a size 3 soccer ball to keep.
